One serendipitous night in the summer of 2022 we met for dinner and karaoke at O'Maddy's Restaurant in Gulfport Florida while Erik was visiting St. Petersburg on vacation. It was uncanny how much we had in common - and our connection was deeply spiritual from the very first meeting!

We were both married to women previously (Vince for 17 years and Erik for 35) and together have a combined 22 children and grandchildren.  As many gay Christian young men did growing up, we suppressed our sexuality and submitted to intensive Conversion Therapy throughout our lives to desperately try to "pray the gay away."

Our spiritual journeys eventually led us to to "come out" later in life (Vince in his forties, Erik in his fifties) when we made the decision to embrace being gay as beautiful, and decided to fully love our authentic selves for the first time.

Both of us were (and still are) deeply spiritual but wanted more from life, love, and spirituality than religion had to offer us.  We have a strong desire to make a difference in the world and the lives of others; to help create a more loving, accepting place for all; and to serve as "ambassadors" of love for all humanity.

We were married in the spring of 2024 and decided to partner together in the expansion of Vince's life coaching business, changing the name from "Deeper Water Life Coaching" to "Deeper Water Community."  The new name represents our passion to create an inclusive spiritual community where others can come together and find rich belonging, support and encouragement in their spiritual journey toward alignment, authenticity and acceptance.

We are incredibly excited to see all that Deeper Water will accomplish and become in the years ahead!  We hope you will join us and get involved in all that this exciting community has to offer!
